Matthijs Schoots brings more than 25 years of biopharmaceutical and clinical development leadership to Inhalon, where he is responsible for portfolio management, strategic planning and day-to-day operations supporting the company's inhaled antibody platform.
Prior to joining Inhalon, Matthijs served as Chief of Staff and Head of Strategic Planning at Uvax Bio, where he managed a $50M+ portfolio across five active vaccine programs, led five-year strategic planning, and built the company's entire operating system — from grant management and financial systems to project governance and portfolio prioritization. While there, he delivered a $2.4M CEPI grant for a novel MERS vaccine.
Earlier, Matthijs spent 15 years in clinical research organizations, including Thermo Fisher (PPD), IQVIA, and PRA Health Sciences, where he directed global programs across infectious disease, vaccines, and biologics development — including RSV, influenza, and respiratory studies..
A certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Matthijs is known for converting complex, matrixed organizations into disciplined, data-driven operating systems — the kind of operational rigor that turns breakthrough science into approved therapies.
